About Urban Burma
Siri Tan opened the first Burmese restaurant in Colorado in 2019 with his brother Martin.
Located at 10180 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO 80010, Urban Burma operates as a burmese restaurant serving Aurora in Colorado. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Aurora, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Colorado run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ8 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (626) 628-5430. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, urbanburma.co.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 696 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded burmese restaurants in Aurora.
Aurora is in Colorado, in the Mountain West, where the high elevation brings cold snowy winters, warm dry summers and big day-to-night temperature swings; ski and summer tourist seasons shape opening hours in resort towns. Getting around Aurora is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Colorado's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Really good food. The Nan Gyi Dok was so tasty, well seasoned, and made spicy to perfection upon request. My girlfriend loved the Samosa Salad, and she mentioned the dressing was really delicious. The Golden Triangle Tofus with that amazing tamarind sauce were so good too. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The portions were generous and filling for us both. Many thanks for the fantastic meal!

We loved Urban Burma in the mango house plaza. Itβs def a hole in the wall but itβs great to know that youβre supporting small businesses. We got the taste of Burma sampler. The beef curry was super flavorful. The samosa was good too! The salad was very interesting, but it def confused my tastebuds! π it was good to try it though. I def want to come back to try other items on their menu.

I went to Urban Burma today for lunch and it was incredible. The owner was so kind and the food was outstanding. It was my first time having Burmese food and I am excited to come back to try new dishes here.

What a delicious meal! We loved every bite! Service was wonderful and owner Siri is so friendly and a joy to talk with! Such a cool vibe here too. The small shop next to it (also in Mango House) sells fermented tea leaves and the bean/nut mix needed to make your own tea leaf salad!

Wow! My taste buds are in awe right now at Urban Burma. The taste profiles in my Nan Gyi Dok dish are absolutely delicious. The thick are hearty noodles hit the spot and the curry is spicy and brings excitement to eat bite. I also got a refreshing ginger drink that perfectly cools down the heat from my dish. This spot is located in the Mango House which is which a fun and rich cultural spot! Highly recommend!!!
